Glasgow Metropolitan College is the largest college in Glasgow, offering a wide range of vocational and leisure courses on a full time, part time basis and evening/weekend basis.
The Brief:
To create an interactive visual environment & experience that both supports and enhances the Glasgow Metropolitan brand. The primary objective of the site was to attract local, national and international audiences and generate increased course enquiries and enrolments.
The Solution:
The modern and accessible website is fully content managed with integrated e-mail marketing software that enables the college to plan, publish and evaluate email marketing campaigns. The website, developed on the
Innovation Digital CMS, offers a range of interactive features including a flash video player, mp3, fully searchable course database and an online course application form to reduce administration time. A new micro site for the Glasgow Met Library Services has also recently been developed and launched.
The Results:
- The number of website visitors increased by over 100% between August 2006 and August 2007
- Over 600 applications were received within the first month of the online application form being implemented.
- In post-launch usability testing, prospective and current students said they found that navigation was easy to use and information easy to find.
